Request a transcript
The Office of the Registrar provides assistance for obtaining student transcripts and attendance verification. A student transcript contains information about classes taken, grades received, GPA earned, and completed degree requirements. Current students may access a copy of their unofficial transcript through SIS.

Electronic transcripts
Visit the National Student Clearinghouse Transcript Ordering Center.
- Your transcript will be sent securely through National Student Clearinghouse's secure network in PDF format via email.
- Please allow 5-10 business days for processing.
Note: Electronic transcripts sent to the recipient are considered OFFICIAL upon delivery, but become UNOFFICIAL if forwarded to another recipient.
Paper transcripts
Visit the National Student Clearinghouse Transcript Ordering Center.
- Paper transcript pick-up services will be available every Thursday from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. only. NO IN-PERSON SERVICES AVAILABLE THURSDAY, JULY 3.
- Please allow 5-10 business days for processing.
- We encourage electronic delivery when possible.
There are 3 ways to order paper transcripts:
1. ONLINE
Visit the National Student Clearinghouse Transcript Ordering Center.
Your order is placed through the National Student Clearinghouse as a one-time transaction. The site will walk you through placing your order, including delivery options and fees. You can order up to 5 transcripts in a single session.
Order updates will be emailed to you. You can also check your order status or history online. Any major credit card may be used.

2. IN PERSON
Visit the Registrar's Office at the Harbor East campus and complete the transcript request form.
- Photo ID must be displayed at the time of the request.
- Same-day service is available in-person at a cost of $10 per transcript by credit card only.
- Same-day service is available Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at the Harbor East campus only. NO IN-PERSON SERVICES AVAILABLE THURSDAY, JULY 3.
- You may order up to five transcripts. Any additional transcripts ordered will be $5.00 each.

General Information
Please note the following policies regarding transcripts:
- We cannot accept requests for transcripts by phone.
- Photocopies of transcripts from other domestic educational institutions will not be made available to you. These documents are submitted specifically for consideration of admission and cannot be made available for any other use.
- You must request transcripts from previously attended colleges and universities directly from those institutions. However, requests for photocopies of transcripts from international educational institutions will be considered due to the difficulty of obtaining those documents directly. Note: Your transcript will not be released without your signed authorization. Also, transcripts and grades are not issued for you if you have an outstanding financial obligation to the university.
- Requests to inspect and/or receive copies of documents (other than transcripts from previous institutions and confidential letters of recommendation) maintained in your academic record may be submitted under the provisions of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (commonly known as FERPA), as amended. Information pertaining to FERPA at JHU can be accessed from the Office of the University Registrar FERPA Compliance website.
- Requests for inspection of academic records must be submitted to the registrar. The request must be submitted in writing with an original signature to the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School, Registrar's Office, 100 International Drive, Baltimore, MD 21202. Faxed requests will not be honored.
Verifications
Submit a verification request if you need an official letter verifying your enrollment for a given semester, the degree(s) you were awarded, or when you expect to graduate.

Summer 2023 Carey Graduation Ceremony
Summer 2023 Carey Graduation Ceremony

Ceremony details
The Carey Business School Graduation Ceremony will be held on Thursday, Aug. 3, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at the Meyerhoff Symphony Hall in downtown Baltimore and will conclude by approximately 4:15 p.m. If you are attending the graduation ceremony, you must be inside the Meyerhoff Symphony Hall wearing your regalia by 1:00 p.m. Graduates should plan to be in line no later than 12:45 p.m. Graduates who arrive late may not be able to participate. Guest admittance to the Carey Graduation Ceremony is by ticket only. Participating graduates as well as children under 1 year of age do not need a ticket. Guest entrance begins at 1:00 p.m. There is no assigned guest seating; however, your guests should be seated by 1:45 p.m. Please note: The Meyerhoff Symphony Hall does not allow balloons, luggage, or strollers inside the auditorium. Strollers may be parked in the lobby, outside of the auditorium.
Diplomas
Please note that per Johns Hopkins University requirement, Summer 2023 graduate diplomas will not be distributed at the ceremony. All diplomas will be mailed at a later date. More information about diploma mailing will be emailed to Summer 2023 graduates in late June.
Covid-19 protocols
Graduates participating in commencement ceremonies and events must comply with the JHU vaccination mandate and must have received the COVID-19 vaccination and booster or an approved medical or religious exception prior to the day of the ceremony. Students who are 100% remote and are only coming to participate in graduation ceremonies are not required to submit vaccination documents for Influenza or COVID-19. Guests and family members will also not need to provide proof of vaccination at this time.
All measures are subject to change based on JHU and Baltimore City COVID health & safety protocols.
Regalia (cap and gown)
All graduates participating in the Carey Graduation Ceremony are required to wear the appropriate cap, gown, hood, tassel, and professional attire.
You must obtain your regalia from Oak Hall, either online or in person. The deadline to order online is July 5, 2023.
Regalia should be removed from wrapping and pressed prior to the ceremony.

Guest tickets
Due to limited seating, only graduates who have RSVP’d that they are attending the ceremony will receive up to two guest tickets. Participating graduates as well as children under 1 year of age do not need a ticket. If you need more than the allotted amount, please email Carey.Student@jhu.edu and we will try to accommodate requests on a first-come, first-served basis.
Special seating
Seating for guests who use wheelchairs, as well as those with limited physical mobility or medical conditions, will be available for the ceremony. Arrangements for this type of seating may be made by submitting your email request to Carey.Student@jhu.edu by July 5, 2023. In all situations, a good faith effort (up until the time of the event) will be made to provide accommodations.
Disabilities
A large screen will project the ceremony and each graduate as he/she crosses the stage. The ceremony will also be captioned. To request ASL interpreters, assisted listening devices, and large print or braille program booklets, please submit your request by emailing Carey.Student@jhu.edu by July 5, 2023. In all situations, a good faith effort (up until the time of the event) will be made to provide accommodations.
Arrival
Graduates must check in once they enter the Meyerhoff Symphony Hall, where they will receive a name card with the spelling and pronunciation of their name. DO NOT LOSE THIS NAME CARD – Graduates will hand their name card to the reader before walking across the stage. Once graduates check in and receive their name card, they will process into the auditorium to be seated within their degree program.
- Regalia – If graduates need help with their regalia (cap and gown) prior to the start of the ceremony, there will be a designated station to provide assistance.
- Seating – All graduates must be seated in the auditorium within their degree program by 1:45 p.m.
- Personal Items – Graduates may not carry any items during the procession or leave personal items in their seats. Please give all items, such as purses, to a guest to hold.
- Children – If you have children attending as guests, please make certain that an adult guest is available to watch over and assist your children at all times. For safety reasons, children may not process or cross the stage with the graduate.
Photos
Grad Images will photograph graduates as they cross the stage. Your proofs will be available within two weeks after the ceremony. You may visit the Grad Images website to view your proofs online. Further details and ordering information will be emailed from Grad Images after the ceremony.
Flowers and t-shirts
A vendor will be at the ceremony selling flowers and Graduating Class of 2023 t-shirts. You may visit the vendor website to pre-order items.
Livestream
The ceremony will be livestreamed and anyone with internet access will be able to view it. The link to livestream is https://video.ibm.com/jhu-carey-business-school.

- Maryland Avenue Garage, 1120 Maryland Avenue – Guests can purchase a pass online prior to the event and can receive a QR access code at https://ubalt.t2hosted.com/Account/Portal
- MICA Parking Lot - 364 Cathedral Street (Uncovered Parking)
- The Fitzgerald Garage (between Mt Royal Avenue and Maryland Avenue at 80 West Oliver Street, Baltimore, 21201). The garage is 2 blocks from the Meyerhoff.
- Parking may be limited so we encourage carpooling and ridesharing.

The Leadership Development Program at Johns Hopkins Carey Business School is a nine-month, 12-credit certificate program for all those looking to enhance their careers and join a vast alumni network across industries.

Curriculum
The depth of the Leadership Development Program experience involves two on-site residencies and online coursework (synchronous) between residencies. You will engage in discussions with corporate, government, and nonprofit leaders and work in teams on real-time entrepreneurship, business, and community-based projects. The Leadership Development Program curriculum features case studies and simulations, while exploring and integrating dimensions of leadership approaches and strategies applicable in the multicultural and multinational environment.

Certificate requirements
You are required to complete the graduate certificate in the Leadership Development Program in nine months. The certificate consists of six courses (12 total credits).
Required courses (12 credits):
- Accounting for Decision Making (two credits)
- Statistical Analysis (two credits)
- Marketing Management (two credits)
- Managing in a Diverse and Global World (two credits)
- Business and Leadership Communication (two credits)
- Leadership Theory into Practice (two credits)

- Before each residency, you will receive a reading package with pre-module homework, case studies, and exercises that are required to complete for partial credit toward the next residency.
- Post-residency work includes online coursework, case studies, personal and team initiatives/projects that you will complete to receive full credit for the residency.
