You’ve mastered the basics with Introduction to Design Thinking—now take your problem-solving abilities to the next level by learning the art and science of co-creation. Co-creation is considered by some industry leaders as the pinnacle of human-centered design. It involves collaborating with your stakeholders or end users to achieve creative solutions — together. Participants taking Advanced Design Thinking should have demonstrated mastery of design thinking techniques by successfully completing the prerequisite of Introduction to Design Thinking.

In our immersive Advanced Design Thinking course, you’ll take your creativity to the next level by learning the best practices for co-creation. Work with industry-peers in an advanced learning environment and acquire new ways to further unlock your team's creative potential. This course is for individuals who have previously taken an introductory design thinking course and want to further develop their skills.

The prerequisite for this course is Introduction to Design ThinkingAdvanced Design Thinking is the second course required to earn the Executive Certificate in Design Thinking for Innovation.

Anna Fitzgibbon, MBA

Anna Fitzgibbon is the Founder and Owner of OutGrowth. As an experiential education expert, Anna is a die-hard advocate for immersive programming and a re-imagined approach to professional development. With experience traveling and working in over 25 countries, she earned her MBA from The Johns Hopkins Carey Business School, and has a professional background in program development and facilitation (design thinking, corporate team-building and wellness, project-based learning, higher education), sustainable community development and co-creation, event management, and outdoor education.

Danielle Piccinini Black, MPH, MBA

Executive Education Faculty, Carey Business School

Danielle Piccinini Black is the Academic Lead for Design Thinking for Innovation at the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School—Executive Education, and Design Innovation Lead at the Johns Hopkins Center for Communication Programs. She leads the development and implementation of design thinking research, workshops, and co-creation internationally to address emerging public health and business needs, and uses that experience to enhance her design thinking courses. Danielle holds an MPH from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and an MBA from the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School.
