Career & Life Design is embedded into the Full-time MBA curriculum and program experience. We partner closely to help you explore, articulate, and pursue your unique career goals. As you plan for your career post-graduation, we help you leverage your experience, skills, and interests to prepare for and secure meaningful opportunities and connections.

  • Career coaching at Carey helps you gain greater focus, increase awareness of self and career options, and set and work toward internship, job, and other professional goals
  • On-site and virtual sessions available, scheduled through Handshake
  • Prior to the start of your program, you will begin working with your Carey career coach throughout the spring and summer, to help you prepare for early career opportunities and connections.

Accelerated Leadership Program Associate

  • Full-time MBA students complete the Professional Development for Career Success course in the fall of their first year. This accelerated course helps you develop and apply the skills needed to accomplish their personal and professional goals. It also builds lifelong career management skills to navigate a dynamic job market and evolving global marketplace.
  • PD+ is a curated professional development program for 2nd-year FT MBA students, offering targeted content, applied practice, networking, and career coaching. Building the Professional Development Course, PD+ helps you strengthen your professional brand and prepare for post-graduation success.
  • Career education workshops, interview bootcamps, industry and alumni insights sessions, and the bi-weekly Career Co-Lab are additional career preparation opportunities offered throughout the program.

Led by Carey’s Employer Relations team, you have access to extensive networking, industry connection, internship, and job opportunities, such as:

  • Extensive internship and job postings through Handshake’s Job Collections and weekly industry insider sessions with Employer Relations specialists and invited industry guests
  • On-site and virtual employer information sessions
  • Support to attend career fairs and industry conferences
  • Access to Carey’s MBA Corporate Networking Breakfast, Johns Hopkins Future Fest, industry treks, and employer site visits
