How we work with alumni
Career & Life Design support does not stop when your program ends. It continues well after graduation, offering you access to lifelong career resources, personalized coaching, alumni networking opportunities, and continuous learning resources to help you grow throughout every stage of your professional journey.
Alumni can benefit from the following resources:

Online Career Resources and Tools
- Set up an Alumni Handshake Account (follow set-up instructions closely)
- Access Carey Alumni Career Resources on Demand
- Join Johns Hopkins Carey Business School Experienced Job Postings – LinkedIn Group
- Alumni up to six-months post-graduation continue to have access to all Carey and University-wide career tools, including: VMock, CaseCoach, Interstride, MBA-Exchange, Exponent, and Forage
1:1 Career Coaching and Consultation
- Alumni within one calendar year of graduation are eligible for unlimited 1:1 coaching appointments
- After one calendar year from graduation alumni are eligible for up to two 1:1 Career Consult appointments of up to 50 minutes each with a Carey Career Coach
- All coaching appointments should be scheduled through Handshake. Go to “Career Center” then “Appointments” (Access “Alumni Handshake Account” instructions above)
Recruitment and Executive Search
- Alumni are encouraged to access extensive industry-specific job boards, recruitment and networking resources, and executive search firms to support a strategic job search. While Carey Employer Relations and Career & Life Design staff do not serve as executive search recruiters or a direct sourcing/referral source, Carey alumni have access to a list of identified resources through the Industry-Specific Job Boards & Search Firms Guide (located in Carey Alumni Career Resources on Demand).

- Register for Johns Hopkins Alumni Life Design Experience (ALDE) four-week virtual course led by the Johns Hopkins Alumni Association and Johns Hopkins Center for Integrative Learning and Life Design to help gain clarity and confidence to support career advancement, management, and fulfillment
- Access resources and workshops for Navigating Transitions and the Adapt, Pivot & Persist series to move forward with career confidence
