Johns Hopkins Technology Ventures Pre-MBA Internship

Johns Hopkins Technology Ventures (JHTV) aims to maximize the impact of Johns Hopkins University’s research excellence by facilitating the translation and commercialization of discoveries into accessible technologies, products and services that benefit society. JHTV is happy to offer a paid, pre-MBA internship for incoming JHU MBA students who wish to join the team and help us achieve our mission. MBA student(s) will work within the Commercialization Academy at JHTV.

The academy supports technology transfer and commercialization at JHU by serving as the first line of technology evaluation for over 450 new inventions generated annually by Hopkins faculty. The academy is comprised of students at JHU with STEM backgrounds and an interest in learning the business side of science. The interns’ efforts are integral to the university and the skillset they earn is directly applicable post-graduation careers in finance, consulting, industry, patent law, entrepreneurship, and more. Carey admissions will work with JHTV staff to select 1 – 3 incoming students to participate in the internship. Potential candidates will be required to submit a resume and complete a virtual interview.

Interest can be directed to Stewart Neifert, sneifer1@jh.edu.

A Mutually Enriching Experience

“The pre-MBA internship program between Cedars-Sinai Transplant Center and the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School was such a mutually enriching experience. I immensely valued the opportunity to create a learning and working experience for Jon Illani ... Cedars-Sinai Transplant Center is supportive of building out a more robust program to expand on this year’s success.  Therefore, we will be pausing during the Summer of 2022 to redesign and grow the experience so that it can be even more valuable to the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School pre-MBA students.”
