The HCD Lab is committed to bringing together key stakeholders as we highlight, learn, and explore insights related to human capital. Our aim is to bring together practitioners, policymakers, academics, and other thought leaders to identify and share cutting-edge trends and strategies. Hot-topic convening
As key areas emerge or new evidence surfaces, the HCD Lab will host opportunities to discuss and explore understanding and ideas that can shape what’s next.
Academic events
The HCD Lab seeks opportunities to host academic events related to human capital in an effort to expand perspectives, showcase research, and highlight the impact of academic findings in practice.
Virtual convening
These short sessions on targeted topics allow global collaborators to showcase new research or issues in practice with invited experts.

September 6, 2023:
The HCD Lab hosted a reception for the Executive Network Visionaries Summit in Washington, D.C., in September. This invitation-only group of CHROs and HR vice presidents was among the first to see the newly renovated Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg Center, preview Carey Business School’s new HCD Lab, and meet the HCD Lab team. March 19, 2024:
The March 19 symposium “From Crisis to Transformation: Leading Culture and Operational Improvements for the Health Care Workforce of the Future” was organized by the HCD Lab alongside the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and the Dr. Lorna Breen Heroes' Foundation. Learn more about the event here.
