In March 2022, Varghese (Abe) Abraham left his role as Head of Clinical Development at Alladapt Immunotherapeutics, to cofound Novellia, a startup designed to bridge the gap between a patient’s medical history and data available today. At Alladapt, Abe was responsible for the development of strategy, design, and execution of Alladapt-sponsored clinical trials in the US and Europe.

Prior to his role at Alladapt, Abe served as US Medical Team Lead (Senior Medical Director) in the Immunology and Ophthalmology unit at Genentech. In that role, Abe led medical strategy for Actemra in Rheumatoid Arthritis and Giant Cell Arteritis. He also supported earlier pipeline immunology molecules focused on Transplant-related Desensitization, Lupus Nephritis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Systemic Sclerosis, and Systemic Lupus Erythematosus.

In addition to enjoying outdoor activities including fishing and hunting, Abe enjoys collecting vintage vinyl records across genres and learning about scotch. He has a passion for fostering diversity and inclusion within biotechnology and improving access to mentorship.
