Andrew Klein, MD, MBA '02

Retired Chief Medical Officer, United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS)

Andrew Klein is the retired chief medical officer for UNOS, which holds the contract with the federal government to administer the Organ Procurement and Transplant Network in the United States. He is the retired director of the Comprehensive Transplant Center at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where he led programs in liver, kidney, pancreas, heart, and lung transplantation. A tenured professor of Surgery at Johns Hopkins University, Dr. Klein was the founding director of the Johns Hopkins Comprehensive Transplant Center. He holds a BA from Duke University, an MBA from Johns Hopkins Carey Business School, and an MD from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.
