What is EvaluationKit?

The Carey Business School uses a system called EvaluationKIT to conduct course evaluations. EvaluationKIT is an online evaluation tool integrated with Canvas. While you will need to log into Canvas to access the survey, the survey results are absolutely anonymous. The survey itself is hosted by the EvaluationKIT company; responses cannot be linked back to individuals. EvaluationKIT only keeps track of who has and has not taken the survey.

How is IT used?

Course evaluations are completely automated and require no setup or deployment by the instructor. The Carey IT team will deploy the evaluations to all students approximately 1 week prior to the end of each semester. Students will receive email reminders and pop-up reminders when they log into Canvas. For best results, Teaching & Learning@Carey recommends allowing a small block of class time for students to complete the questionnaire.

Instructors are able to view reports for each course approximately 3 weeks after grades have been submitted.

In addition, students are able to access EvaluationKit to research future courses.
