Chris Pilkerton is a former Presidential Cabinet member as Acting Administrator and General Counsel of the US Small Business Administration, as well as a White House Senior Policy Advisor, ultimately leading the Jobs & Economy pillar of the WH Domestic Policy Council. He began his career as an Assistant District Attorney in Manhattan and went on to become Senior Enforcement Counsel at the US Securities and Exchange Commission, a financial services lawyer in private practice, a Compliance Director at JP Morgan Chase, and an executive at community development financial institution Accion Opportunity Fund. 

He has held various research and/or teaching appointments at the Harvard University Kennedy School of Government, Georgetown University and Johns Hopkins University business schools, Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law (CUA), and as a Fulbright Teaching Scholar at Jagiellonian University in Poland, concentrating on public policy formation and enterprise risk management.  He is a frequent speaker, author of numerous financial media pieces and law journal articles, as well as several books on the topics of policy instruction, economic development for underserved communities, post-pandemic small business resilience, and an upcoming title on the impacts of artificial intelligence on the American workforce and municipalities. 

Chris is the co-founder of the Small Business Corps, a former Vice Flotilla Commander in the US Coast Guard Auxiliary and has been recognized by Fortune Magazine as one of the "Fifty Heroes of the Fortune 500."
