Bob Olsen is a Johns Hopkins Carey Business School alumni with an MBA and an MS in Telecommunications and Information Systems. In 2006, Olsen founded North Star Group, a professional services firm that specializes in cybersecurity, project management, systems engineering, and more. In 2013, he founded COMPASS, a subsidiary of North Star that specializes in cybersecurity.

In addition, Olsen serves as a member of the Carey Business School’s Dean’s Alumni Advisory Board, has participated in the school’s Executive in Residence program, and teaches cybersecurity course at Carey as an adjunct professor.
