In addition, reflecting its diverse and international population, the city offers an unparalleled schedule of major social, cultural, political, and education events throughout the year.

Getting here
Washington, D.C., is amply served by major highway, public transit, and airline modes. Two major airports, Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) and Dulles International Airport (IAD) in Northern Virginia, along with nearby Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI), address the needs of national and international travelers.
Union Station serves as the southern anchor for Amtrak trains’ busy northeast corridor. From here, riders can access Carey’s Harbor East location in Baltimore via Maryland Rail Commuter (MARC) service, as well as points north, including New York. Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) Metro and bus service operate to and from Union Station. Interstate 95, I-495, and several other major arteries provide access to the city and surrounding communities in Maryland and Northern Virginia.
