Built for JD students at the Francis King Carey School of Law, the JD/MBA dual degree offered in partnership between Johns Hopkins Carey Business School and the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law builds graduates who are prepared to lead in complex regulatory and business environments. Students interested in the JD/MBA must first apply and be accepted to the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law. After acceptance, they may apply to the MBA program at Johns Hopkins Carey Business School. Current Maryland Carey Law students can apply to Carey’s MBA program during their first year and begin business courses in their second year. This program is available in both full-time and part-time modalities, providing the flexibility to balance your professional, educational, and personal goals while earning two powerful degrees.

Please Note: Students interested in the JD/MBA dual degree program must first apply for admissions to the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law. Once a student is admitted, they can apply directly to the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School. Current Maryland Carey Law students apply to the full-time MBA during their first year in law school and start MBA classes in year two of the program.
