Senior Director of Strategy Management and Institutional Effectiveness

Mindi Shephard is the Senior Director of Strategy Management and Institutional Effectiveness at Johns Hopkins Carey Business School. She oversees key strategic imperatives across the institution while serving as a hands-on project manager for high-profile initiatives that support the school’s reputational objectives around educational excellence, transformative research, organizational effectiveness, and strategic portfolio. Mindi works closely with the dean and senior leadership to help ensure alignment with institutional priorities and support of business goals through data-driven insights.

With over 30 years of experience at Johns Hopkins University, Mindi has managed large-scale software implementations, led Carey’s initial AACSB accreditation process, and formed Carey’s Institutional Data and Analytics division. Most recently, Mindi established Carey's Project Management Office, developing frameworks, tools, and training programs to support school strategies and project management practices across the school.

Mindi holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Salisbury University, a master's degree in Information and Telecommunication Systems from Johns Hopkins University, and actively maintains Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
