As a student in the part-time MiM program, you will benefit from expert faculty, tailored career support, and hands-on, real-world learning experiences in a flexible format that fits into your busy lifestyle. The courses and experiences will prepare you to lead and excel in a dynamic global business landscape. Choose to focus your learning and build specialized skills in one of four specialized learning tracks: AI for Management, Analytics for Management, Leadership, or Entrepreneurship. With a focus on ethics, innovation, and global thinking, the MiM program will prepare you to address complex business challenges, lead change, and deliver immediate impact.
Business foundations
Graduate in as little as 15 months with a strong foundation in core business disciplines including finance, artificial intelligence, team leadership, strategy development, statistical analysis, and effective communication.
Leadership development
Leadership development is at the core of the curriculum. Strengthen your ability to lead diverse teams, influence business strategy, and communicate clearly to drive impact in both virtual and in-person settings. You’ll develop the interpersonal and leadership skills that distinguish today’s most effective leaders.
AI for Management

The Master of Science in Management program is designed for recent college graduates and early-career professionals with under three years of work experience. As a student in the MiM program, you will build the leadership skills, business knowledge, and strategic mindset needed to succeed in business.
Offered in a flexible online, part-time format, the program typically takes 15 months to complete. You will graduate with extensive resources to take you to the next step in your career as quickly as possible. Whether your undergraduate degree is in the humanities, sciences, or another discipline, you will gain the tools and expertise to thrive in today’s fast-moving global business landscape.

Curriculum
The Master of Science in Management program is designed to help students build a strong foundation in essential business foundations while preparing them to lead in a rapidly evolving global business environment. Our MiM curriculum combines intensive coursework with practical, hands-on learning to develop adaptable, data-driven, and ethically minded leaders.

The MiM program combines business theory with real-world applications that help develop practical, in-demand skills that top employers value most–from data analysis and strategic planning to solving leadership challenges. With a focus on global perspectives and four optional elective tracks, the Master of Science in Management program will prepare you to work collaboratively, think critically, and grow into a confident, ethically grounded leader ready to enter the workforce and make an immediate impact.
Students complete an 11 course (22-credit) core curriculum that builds a strong foundation in key business areas including finance, strategy, leadership, analytics, and communication. To tailor the experience to their personal career goals, students choose four electives (8 credits) from a diverse selection of topics to align with personal interests and career goals. Students also have the option to select one of four elective tracks in AI for Management, Analytics for Management, Leadership, or Entrepreneurship. At least one elective must be experiential, giving students the opportunity to put theory into practice through a real-world project. This requirement can be fulfilled by participating in the signature experiential learning course abroad or by taking a comparable non-experiential course at Carey’s location in Baltimore.

Students are required to complete four elective courses, including one experiential course. For the remaining three courses, they can choose from the elective tracks listed below.

Experiential learning courses:
Students in the MiM program will have the opportunity to participate in a signature experiential learning course that combines classroom study with hands-on experience, including international visits to real companies.

Completing the part-time Master of Science in Management or MiM program not only sets you up for early career success and future advancement, it also opens the door for you to earn a Johns Hopkins Carey Business School MBA. After gaining a few years of professional experience, you can apply to Carey’s full-time or Flexible MBA program. You’ll be able to complete your MBA in just one year, with your management coursework counting toward first-year requirements.
