Alex Antoniou

Dr. Antoniou is a Carey Business School alumnus with experience and a passion for healthcare innovation and capital investments. He is founder of HealthBrew, Venture Partner with FundRx, and Venture Advisor to MEDA Angels. His previous experience also includes Portfolio Manager with a family office, Management Consultant in healthcare analytics with McKinsey & Company, Chief Medical Officer and Director of Strategy with BlockMedx, and Director of Corporate Venture & Medical Director of Innovation with CareFirst BCBS. He currently serves on the boards of Humanim, BlockMedx, and Carey’s DAAB.

Prior to completing his MBA and Nuclear Medicine residency at Johns Hopkins, Dr. Antoniou completed his Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Medical degrees at Tufts University. Dr. Antoniou is licensed to practice medicine in the state of Maryland and volunteers with the Maryland Medical Reserve Corps. Additional course work and certifications from Carnegie Mellon University and MIT were completed in the field of data science.
