Clayton James is Director of Business Development at Mid-Atlantic Microwave, a leading RF hardware supplier supporting numerous DoD contractors. Previously, as Director of Operations at Augmented Reality startup NewSight Reality, he served as a critical link between the technical team and USSOCOM, driving strategic initiatives and operational success.

With a career spanning advertising, real estate, technology, financial services, and asset management, Clayton has consistently focused on innovation within small businesses. At Johns Hopkins, he co-founded the Innovation Factory, the university’s first student-led organization uniting divisions to foster entrepreneurship and support Hopkins-affiliated startups.

A double Hopkins graduate, Clayton holds a B.Sc. in Computer Engineering from the Whiting School and an M.Sc. in Finance from the Carey Business School.
