Kelly Farmer
Kelly Farmer is Assistant Dean for Recruitment and Admissions at the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School where she oversees recruitment, application evaluation, and candidate experience for Carey’s MBA, MS, and Certificate programs.
She also leads the school’s Strategic Enrollment Management Committee. Farmer joined Carey in 2018 and has 20 years of experience in admissions and enrollment management.
Before joining Carey, Farmer spent 16 years in undergraduate admissions roles, most recently as assistant vice president for undergraduate admissions at Stevenson University (MD). She is a past-president of the Potomac and Chesapeake Association for College Admission Counseling and has served two terms as an elected delegate to the National Association for College Admission Counseling. She has also served on Graduate Management Admission Council’s Annual Conference Advisory Group and regularly presents at regional and national conferences.
Kelly holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism and a master’s degree in education policy and leadership, both from the University of Maryland College Park, and completed the Management Development Program at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Education.
