Adjunct Instructor
Academic AreaBusiness Communication

Jesse began his career in politics and government. He was the youngest civil rights commissioner in Pennsylvania history, when he served on Governor Ed Rendell's Advisory Commission on Latin Affairs. Later, he worked on the 2007/8 Obama presidential campaign, leading to a communications role on the Obama-Biden Presidential Transition. Jesse later served as Special Assistant to Senator Robert P. Casey Jr. (D-PA) and Legislative Analyst to U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack for Rural Development.

After government, Jesse worked to grow Latinx-owned businesses and support entrepreneurs as VP of Government Affairs and Policy at the US Hispanic Chamber of Commerce; in that role, he worked substantially on building support for immigration reform from Republicans -- ultimately passing reform in the Senate.

Jesse moved to philanthropy, where he led Communications and Content Development at the Council on Foundations, the country's premier philanthropic association. There he supported foundation executives, advocated for American philanthropy, and worked to preserve the public trust in the social sector.

He currently works full-time at McKinsey and Company, where he leads external relations for the Advanced Industries Practice.
