Luyi Yang holds a PhD in Operations Management and an MBA, both from the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business. He received dual bachelor's degrees in Industrial Engineering and English Language from Tsinghua University. His research interests lie in consumer-driven service operations, business model innovation, mechanism design, and operations-marketing interface. His research has been published in leading journals like Management Science and covered in major media outlets like Forbes.com. He is a recipient of several research awards, including 2015 INFORMS IBM Service Science Section Best Student Paper Award, 2015 CSAMSE/Columbia Business Initiative Best Paper Award, among others.
