In response to widespread layoffs and ongoing market volatility, Johns Hopkins Carey Business School is committed to supporting professionals in the tech industry facing career transitions. The Carey Tech Fellowship program provides scholarship support, up to $45,000 for Flexible MBA and up to $30,000 for part-time specialized masters master's, for individuals recently impacted by tech industry layoffs who are ready to rebuild their careers and invest in their future. In addition to the Tech Fellowship scholarship program, there are currently no application fees for any Carey Business School program, and all our part-time programs are test-optional.

Eligibility

To qualify for the Tech Fellowship scholarship, you must have experienced a job separation at any point in 2025-2026 and plan to begin your Carey program in 2026.

• Job loss in the tech or tech-related industry. Our Admissions team will validate which companies qualify.
• Applicants must submit an up-to-date resume indicating when your position was impacted and provide a letter or other documentation of your separation from the job.
• There must be reference to the separation from employment within the essay section of the application.
• This award is for those who were laid off, not those who voluntarily leave a position.
• This Award is for the Flexible MBA and part-time specialized master's programs.
