Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg Center

The Hopkins Bloomberg Center is located at 555 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW Washington D.C. 20001. The center houses several Johns Hopkins schools and serves as a hub for student learning in Washington, D.C.

Transportation

The closest Metro station to the Hopkins Bloomberg Center is the Archives-Navy Memorial-Penn Quarter station, which is served by the Green and Yellow lines and located approximately 0.2 miles (a four minute walk) west of the site. The Judiciary Square station, which is served by the Red line, is also within walking distance, located 0.3 miles (a six-minute walk) northeast of the site. The Federal Triangle station, which is served by the Blue, Orange, and Silver lines, is located 0.5 miles (an 11-minute walk) west of the site.

Washington Metro UPass College Student Program 

Full time Carey students taking classes in D.C. have access to the UPass program, which is included in your tuition and fees.

Shuttle

There is a free JHU DC Shuttle from local Metro stations to the Hopkins Bloomberg Center.

Printers

The University has multi-function printers/copiers available for student use. Student printers are located by the B2 classrooms (B218), the library (232), and the computer lab (628A). 

Contact [email protected] to have the proper print driver added to your machine or to request assistance with the printers. Each multi-function printer requires you to ‘swipe release’ your print job. Follow the prompts on the screen to release your print job. 

ID Card

If you want to request a physical J-Card in Washington D.C., follow these steps:

  • Go to this link: Johns Hopkins Service Now
  • Start the description with “Please assign to 555 Penn IT AV” and briefly explain your request. Set location to “Washington D.C.” and building to “555 Pennsylvania Ave”.
  • Select “No” under: Does the description of this issue involve PHI/PII (Patient Health Information / Personally Identifiable Information)?
  • Please note that physical identification cards may not be available at the beginning of the semester.
