Social And Political Economics Conference

Thank you for joining us for the third annual conference in the Social and Political Economics series, a joint endeavor of Johns Hopkins University’s Krieger School of Arts & Sciences and the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School.

The conference theme was “(de)centralization and incentives.” Speakers from leading universities made presentations during the two-day event. They provided both theoretical and empirical perspectives on decentralization, with a focus on the interaction of social, political, and institutional determinants of incentives in decentralized and centralized environments.

Organizers of the conference were assistant professor Marcelo Fernandez and Carey Business School assistant professors Chen ChengItay Fainmesser, and Yiqing Xing.
