Johns Hopkins Carey Business School’s 4+1 program provides ambitious undergraduates with a head start on their future along with a 30% tuition scholarship toward their master’s degree. Participants earn their bachelor’s degree along with a Johns Hopkins specialized master’s in just five years. This accelerated pathway is designed for students from all academic backgrounds and prepares graduates to enter the workforce with the knowledge, skills and confidence needed for success. Participants can choose from a wide range of program options including Business Analytics and AI, Finance, Health Care Management, Information Systems and AI for Business, Management, Marketing, and Real Estate & Infrastructure.

Goucher College
Undergraduate students at Goucher College can earn a specialized master’s degree from Carey while in their program at Goucher.
Application process:
- Work with your Goucher advisor to determine if the 4+1 program is a good fit for you and your goals.
- Apply to the specialized master’s program of your choice during your junior year at Goucher.
- Meet the minimum requirements of a cumulative GPA of 3.25 and prior coursework in quantitative subjects.
- Take two graduate courses during your senior year at Goucher.
- Depending on the courses selected, they may be taken in person at the Harbor East or Washington, D.C. locations during your senior year.
- The remaining course load will be completed in two semesters at Carey.
McDaniel College
We’ve partnered with McDaniel College to give undergraduates a head start on their future by earning a specialized master’s degree from Carey.
Application process:
- Work with your McDaniel advisor to determine if the 4+1 program is a good fit for you and your goals.
- Apply to the specialized master’s program of your choice during your junior year at McDaniel.
- Complete two graduate courses at Carey during your senior year.
St. John’s College
Our partnership with St. John’s College helps undergraduate students fast-track their academic and professional goals with a specialized master’s degree from Carey.
Application process:
- You’ll work with your St. John’s College advisor to determine if the 4+1 program is a good fit for you and your goals.
- Apply to the specialized master’s program of your choice during your junior year at St. John’s College.
- Take two graduate courses during your senior year.
- Depending on the courses selected and your location, courses may be taken online or at the Harbor East or Washington, D.C. locations during your senior year.
- The remaining course load will be completed in two semesters at Carey.
