Brian Boles
Brian Boles is associate dean for Development and Alumni Relations at Johns Hopkins Carey Business School.
Boles joined Johns Hopkins University in 2019 as senior associate director of Development at Carey Business School. From 2021 to 2023, he served as senior director of Development and Alumni Relations for the Center for Talented Youth at Johns Hopkins. While at CTY, Boles helped raise more than $12 million through new corporate relationships and philanthropic support and doubled average fundraising totals. He also closed the largest gift in the center’s 43-year history.
Before joining Johns Hopkins, Boles was the director of Major and Corporate Gifts at Catholic Charities of Baltimore. He also served as the director of Development and Community Relations at St. Frances Academy in East Baltimore.
In addition to his career in philanthropy, Boles was a professional baseball scout with the Milwaukee Brewers and Detroit Tigers.
Among his many community activities, Boles is a commissioner for the Maryland State Athletic Commission. He also founded the Books and Baseball Summer Camp Program, a baseball and scholastic program for kids ages 6 to 12 in Baltimore City.
Boles is a graduate of Morgan State University and earned a master’s degree in emerging media from Loyola University of Maryland.
