Karen served as Chief Administrative Officer of Citigroup from 2020 to 2023.  Karen was responsible for the bank’s Transformation, Data, Controls, and Regulatory Engagement globally.  Prior to that, Karen spent almost 20 years at The Bank of New York (BNY), ultimately becoming President of the firm.  During her tenure at BNY, Karen oversaw global client management, regional management, Human Resources, regulatory oversight, and many of the firm’s transaction services businesses. 

Before joining BNY, Karen spent 16 years with JPMorgan Chase in a variety of commercial lending, sales and business management positions, including an assignment in London. 

Since retiring from Citigroup, Karen has been active in various corporate and nonprofit boards, including Fidelity Investments, Johns Hopkins University and Medicine.  Karen is the former Chair of the Boards of United Way of New York City and Penn State University’s Board of Trustees.
