Olivia Shoemaker, MA

Olivia Shoemaker is an Adjunct Instructor at the Carey Business School, where she teaches Responsible AI.   

Beyond Johns Hopkins, Olivia serves as a Lead Advisor for AI at Frontier Design. In this role, she has helped build an AI safety practice that has partnered with organizations such as the Frontier Model Forum, NIST’s Center for AI Standards and Innovation, and top U.S.-based AI labs. She specializes in bridging the gap between technical AI safety solutions and real-world threat models.   

Prior to Frontier, Olivia served as a director at Taimaka, a nonprofit pioneering innovative social and technical solutions to combat acute childhood malnutrition in northeastern Nigeria.
