Take 10 credits of required classes that blend advanced business analytics with leadership development and innovation strategy, equipping students to identify opportunities, manage complexity, and lead change across industries.

Explore key AI concepts, focusing on its mathematical, computational, and economic foundations, while learning to create AI applications that leverage data for business value. Gain an understanding of AI strategy in various fields and develop leadership skills that consider the interplay between human and artificial intelligence, including awareness of AI's limitations and biases.

Health, Technology and Innovation:

Transform the future of healthcare

The Health, Technology, and Innovation specialization focuses on the business of health in a rapidly changing environment shaped by regulation, technology, and innovation. Take 10 credits of required courses to develop technology-driven, human-centered solutions while working closely with experts across Johns Hopkins University institutions.  

Using cutting-edge cases, explore medical malpractice, negligence, liability on the physician, product, and corporate sides, criminal aspects of healthcare, patient consent and rights, and healthcare reform.

MBA specializations' experiential learning opportunities

Strategy Consulting Practicum: Master frameworks to assess a firm’s competitive positioning and critically evaluate strategic options. Work alongside a client organization to investigate business challenges or opportunities and deliver an evidence-based, actionable strategy recommendation.

Global Immersions: Expand your global business perspective during a week-long, faculty-led immersion in hubs such as India, Chile, Germany, Italy, and the UK. Gain practical skills in global market analysis, cross-cultural collaboration, applied problem-solving, and strategic decision-making through classes, site visits, and meetings with local leaders.

Hexcite: Participate in an early-stage medical software accelerator, developing patient-care solutions with interdisciplinary teams. Lead project management, business modeling, marketing, and pitches, learn design thinking, customer discovery, and product development, and pilot solutions at Johns Hopkins to launch Baltimore startups.
