Dr. Kimberley Williams is a passionate educator, researcher, and leader committed to transforming education through innovation and engagement. With a Doctor of Philosophy in Higher Education Administration from the University of Alabama, Dr. Williams’ research focuses on student engagement in online spaces and instructional design. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor at the Kenan-Flagler Business School, at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, she teaches managerial and corporate communication which educates students in the art and power of effective communication and explores strategic writing concepts. Her instructional prowess extends to delivering presentations that expose students to current business writing and presentation strategies and fostering diverse and innovative discussions.
Dr. Williams’ dedication to professional development is evident through her numerous workshops and conference presentations. She has conducted workshops on topics ranging from powerful communication and negotiation to re-designing presentations for student engagement. Her conference presentations delve into creating interactive online communities and fostering student engagement through innovative pedagogies. As a former PUMA-sponsored, professional track and field athlete, she participated in the 2015 Pan-American Games, where she earned fourth place, as well as the 2015 Beijing World Championships, where she placed 16th. Her tenure with the PUMA Group spanned five years as she represented the brand internationally.
