Dr. Jordan Rippy, Ph.D., CPA joined Carey Business School in 2018 as an Assistant Professor of Accounting in the Practice Track, in 2023 she became the Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs. After practicing as a CPA at Ernst & Young in New York and Dallas, she earned a Ph.D. in accounting at the University of Alabama (Roll Tide!). Her teaching interests are in financial, managerial, and forensic accounting, and she enjoys helping people who think they don’t like accounting learn that it’s pretty useful and easy to understand. Dr. Rippy lives in the Cathedral Heights neighborhood of Washington, D.C., and in her free time, she enjoys reading, baking excellent chocolate chip cookies, spending time with family and friends, and playing with Mamie, her Havanese puppy.
