The Johns Hopkins Carey Business School recently completed construction of new space for students at its Harbor East campus on the 24th floor atop the Legg Mason Tower. The new student commons add space for classes, events, and individual study.
The Carey Business School relocated to the Legg Mason Tower at Harbor East in 2010. The school is the first tenant to occupy the 24th floor since the building opened in 2009. The student commons, which was constructed this past summer, add more than 11,000 square feet of new space for students and will officially open on October 16 with the start of the Fall II academic term.
“The Carey Business School’s Harbor East campus is located in the heart of Baltimore’s business district. Here we’ve created an additional welcoming environment for learning and collaborating, along with our existing five floors of space,” said Bernard Ferrari, dean of the Carey School. “I believe the 24th floor commons will be a space our students will enjoy immensely as they take courses, attend events, or take part in our Executive Education programs.”
The school also has plans to add new study space for students on the second floor, which will be completed by January 2018.
