Johns Hopkins Carey Business School wants to help individuals in the tech sector turn a marketplace downturn into a personal opportunity for advancement. We recognize the financial impact a layoff can have on a household. We have created the Carey Tech Fellowship to specifically address the current environment.

Our Carey Tech Fellowship helps to address the strain a layoff can have on your budget, today and in the future. We are offering all qualified prospective students:
- Up to $30,000 in scholarships
- No GMAT/GRE required
- No application fee
To qualify for the Carey Tech Fellowship:
- Submit application for the fall 2023 start term
- Include a formal separation letter as part of application process. The formal separation letter must include the following details:
- Company name
- Language confirming the separation was part of a layoff
- Date of separation
- Include an updated resume indicating the separation from their last employer
- Specifically address the separation from your employer in the additional essay section.
- To qualify for the full $30,000, you must remain continuously enrolled.
- Important information:
- Your former employer must be aligned with the technology industry, so not all company layoffs will qualify. Carey reserves the right to define what qualifies as a technology company.
- Separation must have occurred between November 2022 and May 2023.
