Johns Hopkins University and the Carey Business School are committed to making all academic programs, support services, and facilities accessible to persons with disabilities. To request accommodations, please contact Carey Disability Support Services (DSS).
Carey DSS works in conjunction with the Office of Institutional Equity (OIE). OIE reviews documentation throughout the interactive process with Carey DSS and the student to approve accommodations. Carey DSS ensures that accommodations are implemented.
Students are encouraged to submit their registration form and documentation as early as possible in order to avoid any delay in providing accommodations.
All requests for accommodations must be supported by documentation to be reviewed by the Office of Institutional Equity. The documentation guidelines can be found at: http://oie.jhu.edu/ada-compliance/documentation-guidelines/.
In addition to the registration form and documentation, to best serve students and complete the registration process, Carey DSS staff will have a brief conversation with the student to ensure that the appropriate accommodations are requested and review the process for requesting and implementing accommodations.
For any concerns with disability related requests, accommodations and/or services, please refer to JHU’s Grievance Procedures for Students with Disabilities.
Requesting Accommodations for Events:
Students attending non-classroom events are asked to notify Disability Support Services three (3) weeks before the event, when possible when accommodations are needed.
If you have questions or want to talk to someone about the accommodations process, Carey DSS can be reached via e-mail, phone (410-234-9243) or fax (443-529-1552).
