On October 15th, the Carey Business School Foodie Club hosted the first ever Fall Potluck, and members brought their favorite cold weather dishes to share with others. There were about 18 people joined this event and we had a nice evening together.
First, each person brought at least one kind of food they cooked or bought, and we had a great dinner because there were so many delicious options. After that, we had some dessert and an engaging chat. It was more like a social event and people were beginning to know more about each other. The atmosphere was warm and sweet. Then some of us began to play games together. One game—Jenga—was especially interesting because we had to remove wooden pieces from a tower and put them on top of the tower while making sure it didn’t collapse. It was challenging and brought us a lot of happiness.
“I really enjoyed this event. I love the diversity of the food and I meet lots of friends here,” said one of the students who joined this event. We believe this kind of event is very meaningful to help people know more about different kinds of food and meet more friends.
The Carey Business School Foodie Club is for anyone who loves food, a foodie. This spans cooking, eating out, learning about food, tasting food, looking at food, reading about food, and everything related to the culinary world and cuisine!
