Jia (Bella) Liang has experience in banking, wealth management, economics, and quantitative analysis. She graduated from Johns Hopkins Carey Business School in 2012 with an MS degree in Finance. After graduation, she completed a four-month internship at FDL Financial Services. Currently, she works as a Financial Research Assistant at Telemet America, a financial data and investment platform provider in Alexandria, VA, and is enthusiastically enhancing her capabilities in financial data analytics.

What advice would you give new graduates?
Be clear about your career development goal (for example, where to work and what position).

What is one thing students should do while in school to prepare for a job?
Talk with the Career Development Office to improve your resume and apply for all the jobs you are excited about within Carey Compass, Linkedin, Doostang,, etc.

What is your favorite thing about your current job?
Conducting research on financial statements on EDGARpro.

What is the most influential experience you had at Carey?
Serving as the President of the Investment Banking Club and hosting 8 lectures and panel discussions to educate club members on career development in the financial sector.

What three words would you use to define your time at Carey?
Challenging, Productive, Happy
