Congratulations to Amanda Wang (MSF ’15)—winner of the 2015 Career Madness Gift Card* drawing!

The Career Development Office wants to give a big shout-out to all the students who attended the 18 Career Madness events that took place March 21–March 28. We constantly strive to provide informative and transformational workshops to help students develop and polish critical career skills such as storytelling, leadership, emotional intelligence, social media branding and overall self-awareness of their personal skills and values.

Successful alumni, industry experts and adjunct faculty, such as distinguished visiting professor and former Governor Martin O’Malley, led workshops and presentations geared towards equipping and inspiring our students to excel as leaders in the business job market. Former Governor O’Malley spoke about the importance of being a present and engaged leader; Cupid Chan, Carey alum, helped students with practical tips and strategies for successfully navigating the case interview process. John Lim, another alum, introduced students to the power of social media in creating a brand.

Overall, we had more than 200 students participate in 18 career development sessions. We hope to continue our efforts in preparing all students for success in their job search and career development journey. Visit Carey Compass for more resources offered by the Career Development Office.

On behalf of the entire Career Development Team, we applaud all students who committed their time and energy to making the very first Career Madness week a tremendous success.

Thank you!
