With over six years working in higher education and three years in the corporate world, Megan Jeffrey joins the Carey Business School’s Academic Advising team under the MS Finance Program. Fluent in Mandarin, Megan earned her BA in Chinese with a Certificate of East Asian Studies from the University of Maryland College Park (UMCP) and her MA in International Education Policy from there as well. Megan is an avid world traveler, having been to countries in East and Southeast Asia, Africa, the Middle East and the Caribbean, and in her spare time, enjoys learning Farsi and teaching dance fitness classes. Meet MS Finance Student Stella Wang

Ai “Stella” Wang is a full-time student in the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School’s Master of Science in Finance degree program. Stella joined the Carey Business School after degrees in Human Resource Management and Finance from the University of International Business and Economics in Beijing, China.

In addition to her full-time studies, Stella is also completing an internship with the Maryland Wineries Association in Baltimore, MD.

Dr. Demir Yener (Ph.D. Syracuse University) is a financial economist who draws on a broad base of global expertise as an academic and practitioner, policy formulator and business strategist. He specializes in developing comprehensive technical assistance and training plans and programs for financial sector development and corporate governance projects on a global basis. He joined the Carey school from USAID where he served as senior project manager and financial sector advisor in designing, developing and managing economic development projects in emerging countries in the financial sector, capital markets and corporate governance regulation. Previously, he was Professor of Finance at Babson College (Boston), where he taught corporate finance, investments, financial institutions, business valuation and portfolio management courses. He later joined the World Bank.

Jud Riggins

Prior to joining the Carey Business School, Jud worked for Bowie State University and has a Community College background from working at Chesapeake College. He was an academic and career advisor, TRIO program coordinator, adjunct English faculty, and transfer advisor to 4-year schools. Jud holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management from the University of Massachusetts, and a Master of Science in Psychology with concentrations in Educational and Sports psychology from Capella University.

Outside of the advising office, Jud enjoys spending time with family and friends, catching up on anime, and relaxing outside on the weekends.
