Brian Lopez, MSRE, ’01  Executive Vice President Osprey Property Company

Brian joined Osprey in 2001 as Vice President of Development. He became a partner and Executive Vice President in 2003.  Brian brings experience in all aspects of real estate development, specifically construction management and financial structuring of complex transactions involving affordable, historic, and market rate housing. Brian leads Osprey’s multifamily housing operation, including the acquisition and development of over 5000 units of multifamily and senior housing totaling over $800 million in development activity. 

Brian is active in promoting workforce housing initiatives and is currently serving on the Maryland Affordable Housing Coalition Development Committee and Legislative Committee, as well as the Virginia Housing Development Authority’s Advisory Board.  Brian also serves as a board member for the Community Assistance Network in Baltimore County; served on the Executive Committee of the Urban Land Institute’s Young Leaders; and is a former President of the Anne Arundel Affordable Housing Coalition.  Brian was appointed Chairman of the Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission by Governor Hogan in 2017 and continues to serve in that role.

Brian graduated from St. Mary’s College of Maryland with a B.A. in Economics and was president of the Economics Honor Society. He received his M.S. in Real Estate Development from the Johns Hopkins University.
