Henry G. Hagan
Henry G. Hagan, CLU, FLMI, LLIF, began his career in the insurance industry as an agent with Southern Life Insurance Company, North Carolina, in 1975 where he served in numerous field and home office positions. In 1981, he joined Monumental Life Insurance Company and was named senior vice president and chief marketing officer in 1988. In August 1997, he was elected president, and he served as Monumental's chairman, president and chief executive officer until December, 2010.
Mr. Hagan served as co-chair on the Task Force for the Future. He has previously served as the chairman of the Life Insurers Council, and as a board member of LIMRA International, LOMA, LUTC, and The American College. In 2007, Mr. Hagan received the LIC Distinguished Service Award and LOMA Education Award.
Mr. Hagan is involved with a number of organizations in Baltimore, including serving as chairman of the board of the Charles Street Development Corporation and the Kennedy Krieger Institute, vice chair for Business Volunteers Unlimited, past chair for Living Classrooms Foundation, and as a board member of the Maryland Business for Responsive Government, Maryland Chamber of Commerce, and St. Paul’s School.
Mr. Hagan received his BA degree from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, and his MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business.
