Program Prerequisites
Prior to gaining full admission to the Carey Business School Undergraduate Information Systems program, a student is required to complete six communication, math, and computer skills courses (18 credits), six liberal arts courses (18 credits), 5 business preparation courses (15 credits) and 3 elective courses (9 credits).
Communication, Math, and Computer Skills (18 credits)
To fulfill the communication, math, and computer skills requirement, students must complete the equivalent of the following courses: Expository Writing, Writing and Research Methods, Introduction to Public Speaking, Ideas in Mathematics, Finite Mathematics, and Introduction to Computer Use
Liberal Arts (18 credits)
Six courses are required with at least one course from each of the following groups: social sciences, philosophy, natural sciences, and humanities.
Business Preparation (6 credits)
The following two courses (or their equivalent) are required: Business Statistics and Business Organization & Management.
Electives (18 credits)
Eighteen credits of acceptable elective courses are required.
