Welcome to the Office of International Services at Carey.
OIS @ Carey is the new name for the former International Services Office. In the past year, all five Johns Hopkins University international student and scholar offices have been combined into a single administrative unit. This shared responsibility will make it easier for all JHU international students to receive the assistance they need in a timely manner at any of the 5 OIS offices: OIS at Carey, OIS at Homewood, OIS at DC, OIS at Peabody, and OIS at JHMI. The central OIS website is www.ois.jhu.edu
We issue documents required for students to obtain their visa, and help them to maintain their status once they have arrived in the United States. We also help with travel, employment authorizations, change of status, and cross-cultural awareness as well as financial concerns, health matters, housing, and other issues that may arise during a student’s stay.
For more information on the application process for international students, please refer to the International Applicants page.
Regular updates regarding visa-related matters and other items of interest to international students (and other official information) will be sent periodically to your official Johns Hopkins University email address. In addition, you are invited to join the Carey International Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/CareyInternational. This page was created to answer students' questions before and after they arrive in the United States, as well as to facilitate discussions on US culture and the English language.
The best way to contact OIS @ Carey is by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
