Admission Requirements
- 54-60 semester hours or 81-90 quarter hours completed transfer eligible credits
- Transfer credits should include the following business courses: Accounting I, Accounting II, Business Law, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, and an introductory Statistics course. A copy of the BS in Business Recommended Transfer Credit worksheet can be found here. The Carey Business School strongly encourages transfer applicants to begin the planning process early in their academic careers.
Application Process
- Submit online application & application fee. The application includes the following components:
- Essay - minimum of 500 words; in the essay include a) short and long-term personal and professional goals, b) why Carey was chosen, 3) what your expectations are of the program in addition to an excellent education and the Johns Hopkins degree, and 4) what knowledge have your various experiences, hobbies, interests and activities provided that you will bring to the classroom to enrich the learning experience for your classmates.
- Recommendations - a minimum of two recommendations are required; recommendations can be academic, leadership/community service oriented, or professional; recommenders will be sent a link to submit the recommendation on-line. Persons providing a recommendation may also upload an additional letter when submitting the recommendation.
- TOEFL scores or TOEFL waiver request form for non-native English speakers.
- Resume (optional) - should detail personal, professional, and academic experience, including leadership activities at school, in the community, and/or at work.
- Provide official copies of all transcripts including CLEP, DANTES, and AP score reports.
- Provide an official course-by-course evaluation of any credit taken at a non-U.S. school.
