This site lists the current standard syllabi for the courses in flexible MBA, MS, and BS programs.
Based on our current standard syllabus policy, all classes should use the standard syllabus if one is available. Faculty can add additional readings. Sometimes slight deviation from the standard syllabi is allowed, per Faculty Program Committee’s approval. Under the circumstance that a standard syllabus is not available, all the syllabi should comply with JHU and Carey policies and follow the Carey standard syllabus template. Please note, our current grading policy is:
The grade for good performance in a course will be a B+/B. The grade of A- will only be awarded for excellent performance. The grade of A will be reserved for the select few who demonstrate extraordinarily excellent performance. *The grades of D+, D, and D- are not awarded at the graduate level. Grade appeals will ONLY be considered in the case of a documented clerical error.
The standard syllabi are constantly updated. We will adopt the latest editions of the textbooks if they become available. The standard syllabi listed here will only show the original textbook information and may NOT reflect the latest edition.
