Global MBA Experiential Learning Projects

The undisputed strength of Johns Hopkins University lies in its science and health-based research and teaching enterprise. The Global MBA is rooted in this tradition and draws its distinctive strengths from it. It begins with a world view.

The Global MBA is an innovative program that creates a unique experience for its students by incorporating an experiential learning approach. This approach enhances the traditional classroom experience with interative applications of theory and practice. Students in the Global MBA learn largely by doing.  While key business fundamentals are taught in a more traditional classroom environment, the project work at the core of the program helps MBA students bridge theory and reality and get a sense of how complex issues are solved in the real world.

Innovation for Humanity: An international experiential project, Innovation for humanity is designed to develop agile and creative business leaders who understand how to build sustainable, impactful businesses within developing communities around the world.

Discovery to Market: This project provides students with an understanding of the nature of intellectual property, scientific discovery, innovative technologies, processes and devices, and their value from both scientific and commercial standpoints.

Thought and Discourse Seminars: Prominent business leaders and policy makers speak in a format that stimulates intellectual inquiry and debate on topics such as ethical leadership, global economic systems, and corporate statesmanship. Students are encouraged to share their views, pose frank questions, and consider how the sweeping list of topics presented will impact society, careers, and approaches to conducting business in a changing 21st century landscape.
