Joint MBA International Consulting Project
This upcoming academic year, students in the MBA program will be able to participate in the Joint MBA International Consulting Project. This project will allow students to travel abroad to Bucharest, Romania, or Augsburg, Germany. Another option is to collaborate with students from the University of Augsburg in Baltimore, Maryland.
Participate in an experience that will provide you with an academic and cultural experience that you will find invaluable as you advance in your career. It will give you a unique skill set that both broadens your understanding of cultural perspectives and prepares you to utilize individual talents to enhance team performance in a multicultural team experience.

Students who are ready to take their MBA Capstone and students in the MBA Fellows program will be given first preference to participate in these projects. For those students ready for their MBA Capstone, this experience will provide that credit. Other participants who have completed a minimum number of credits (30 MBA credits including all foundations) will be allowed to earn three credits toward a General Business or Management Concentration for the MBA.
The Joint MBA International Consulting Project is made up of teams of MBA students from the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School and Central European University (CEU) in Bucharest. The Augsburg project is made up of teams of MBA and Organization Development students from Johns Hopkins and University of Augsburg.
The projects will begin here in Baltimore with an orientation followed by online collaboration. The project will be completed during a week-long residency in Bucharest, Augsburg, or Baltimore, where you will work with your teammates inside the client organization to complete your analysis and provide your strategic recommendations to the company executives. The teams will be supervised by faculty from the Carey Business School, Central European University and the University of Augsburg.
