MBA in Organization Development
Announcing a new degree program in organization development: the Master of Business Administration in Organization Development.
Beginning in September 2008, you can enroll in an MBA program that gives you the opportunity to:
- Be both a business leader and expert practitioner in today's global market for consulting and development services.
- Develop people, manage change, and strategically prepare for growth.
In a $300 billion a year industry, companies in fields such as financial services and technology are seeking qualified MBA graduates to move into consulting practices. This industry is seeking employees who demonstrate an expert understanding of not only organization development and human resource functions, but also have the ability to interact within the complex operating structure of business.
Features of the MBA OD include:
- 54 credits taken over an average period of three years
- the Assessment Center, designed to provide in-depth knowledge of personal and professional strengths and areas of growth to help guide students’ educational experiences
- coursework in systems change, leadership, strategic human resources management, diagnostic accounting and finance, and research writing and methods
- development of advanced diagnostic and intervention skills for working with individuals, groups, and whole organizational systems
- participation in at least three supervised consulting projects
In addition, elective courses further prepare graduates to work as consultants in:
- change management
- human resources management
- information technology
- financial services
- strategy and marketing
