LDP Alumni Hosts 17th Anniversary Reunion and Awards Ceremony
On Saturday, September 22, the Carey Business School Leadership Development Program Alumni Association hosted its 17th Anniversary Reunion and Awards Ceremony at the Marriott Bethesda North Hotel and Conference Center.
More than 165 alumni, students, and guests were in attendance. During the evening friends, colleagues, faculty, and school administrators reunited to share great stories from their LDP days.
Carey Business School Interim Dean Pamela Cranston officially welcomed the group and LDP Alumni Association leaders presented the following awards: Contemporary Hero Award to James Calvin, LDP Director; Legacy Award to Stanley Gabor, dean emeritus; Outstanding Service Awards to Janice McLaughlin George, LDP 4 and Robert Green, LDP 1; Champion Award to Ralph Fessler, dean School of Education; Corporate Champion Award to John Hunter, executive vice president, QVC; and Corporate Sponsor Award to Marriott International. Also honored was Oral Muir, LDP 8, for his hard work and dedication to the LDP Alumni Association and for stewarding the event.
The LDP Alumni Association is a regular contributor the LDP Scholarship Fund, which annually provides scholarship awards to new LDP students.
