Business of Nursing

This 10-month, 12-credit program addresses the changing financial and managed care challenges facing nurses in the increasingly complex environment of integrated health services, and provides business expertise to nurses who seek to expand their roles in the increasingly complex world of integrated health services.

Offered jointly with the renowned Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing, this program is ideal for nurses who want to take advantage of the emerging choices in their profession.

They aspire to leadership roles. They envision themselves as managers of patient care, as consultants assisting agencies in re-engineering and management issues, or as entrepreneur-owners of free-standing clinics and ambulatory-care facilities.

By any traditional standard, Johns Hopkins Carey Business School graduates are prepared to compete for top positions in the financial, industrial, scientific, health care, technology, nonprofit, and public service sectors.

In a world requiring new standards, our graduates are equipped to set them. The Graduate Certificate Program in the Business of Nursing supplies students with the knowledge, skills, and creativity to bring transformative innovation to the health services industry.
