What procedures and notifications are required when a new person is added to a department or work group?
Please review the information provided for supervisors in the link shown below:
Supervisors' Guide to New Hire Orientation, noting that many of the steps indicated will not apply to individuals hired as Independent Contractors or temporary staff hired through placement agencies.

What is the process for requesting a temporary staff replacement or Independent Contractor?
For a temp, just complete this form: Kelly Services Form and follow the directions provided. Note: To assure compliance with legal and administrative procedures, please notify the Director of Human Resources or the Sr. HR Coordinator prior to entering agreements with Independent Contractors.

What is FASAP?
FASAP is the Faculty and Staff Assistance Program which provides professional assessment, consultation, referrals, training, and outreach to employees who desire assistance and want to discuss their problems or concerns. Information can be accessed through this link : FASAP
