Graduate Certificate Programs

The Carey Business School has also developed a variety of innovative graduate certificate programs that allow busy professionals to pursue intensive short-term study. In many instances, credits may be transferred to an appropriate master's degree(s). Programs include:

  • The Hopkins Business of Medicine® Graduate Certificate equips physicians and other clinicians with the business skills critical to succeed in today's health care environment.
  • The Hopkins Business of Nursing® Graduate Certificate prepares nurses for expanded roles in the health care delivery system.
  • The Graduate Certificate in Leadership and Management in the Life Sciences is designed to enable professionals in the life sciences to meet the business challenges of careers in academia, industry, and government.
  • The Graduate Certificate in Financial Management provides a broad, thorough, and up-to-date foundation in finance and the practical tools needed to thrive as an effective corporate financial manager.
  • The Post-baccalaureate Graduate Certificate in Information and Telecommunication Systems provides basic knowledge in key areas in information, telecommunication, and information security systems and provides entree into the MSITS program for students with no IT background.
  • The Graduate Certificate in Competitive Intelligence is a systematic and ethical program for gathering, analyzing, and managing external information.
  • The Graduate Certificate in Information Security Management prepares professionals in information technology and related areas to assume leadership positions managing the critical information security programs in today's organizations.
  • The Graduate Certificate in Investments provides a rigorous quantitative program with a practical perspective on investments and finance that complements preparation for the CFA.
  • The Leadership Development Program for Minority Managers enhances leadership and management skills for minority professionals.
  • The Skilled Facilitator Certificate prepares participants with the knowledge, concepts, and techniques for group and meeting facilitation.
  • The Graduate Certificate in Information and Telecommunication Systems updates skills and increases knowledge for information technology professionals who have completed a master's degree in information technology or a related subject. Certificates are offered in Information Systems, Telecommunication Systems, and Electronic Commerce.
